A few hours ago the .me extension opened for registrations. I was waiting in order to buy a few premium domains and after some time I finally managed to buy a few domains from godaddy.
Well that would be too good to be true, as the domains still displayed as "free to register" plus I can't see them in my control panel. But I am sure that godaddy has processed the order (I also got an email from paypal)
So do any of you have the same problem? Have you managed to buy a .me domain?

That's cool. Hope you got some premiums too :)
The ones I got, are still displayed as free in godaddy's site, and they sent me an email that they are registered so they will credit my account. I wonder if this happened for 100.000 or 1 million transactions (which is very possible as in godaddy most of the premium names are still displayed as free) how much money godaddy got in one day?

I guess those who ordered via dynadot were the lucky ones :)
I hope I will be more lucky with the new extensions that are going to open soon

BTW I just got a full refund from godaddy. At least this way we can believe that they didn't do that on purpose....

I don't register new names with godaaddy since the don't refund if you start a transfer which doesn't get approved.
dynadot has the same low prices (without using coupons) and has a much faster CP

Based on the thread referenced by Giorgios, it sounds like a whole lot of shenanigans are going on with this launch. In a lot of ways, it makes sense to auction off the premium names as it makes for a much fairer playing field for everyone. If the auction were being run by ICANN or clearly stated who is doing the auctioning it wouldn't have such a terrible smell to it. From what the others were saying it looks like it's GoDaddy and based on Nick's experience, it does sound like something shady is going on with them.
Congratulations on the dictionary.me score Olaf. Seems like you are one of the few who beat the auction site to a decent name. I've not done any domaining, but it would seem .me does have a nice amount of branding potential.

Thanks ;) Not to mention they are a bit expensive than the .com's... Well a good domain would always have a higher value someday :D

Actually you pay this amount to the registrar and the price is the same for a good as for a bad or long keyword. Almost $20 is to much for a domain which is available for everyone

I was checking for good domain names too and I registered immediately e-loan.me , I think its a good domain name so I will find the right buyer and will aim $xxxx for it ;)
