I found this article very interesting... here is a quote from it...

Internet giants Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. are testing a new form of online advertising that encourages people to pick up the phone rather than click on a link, lending credibility to the "pay-per-call" ad model.

What else are they going to think of next? Would you use this service? I think that this would benefit larger companies...

I am not sure if this is going to work.

After all the small advertisers (who are the main income of the advertising industry) will be unable to pay so much money for pey per  call actions.

Also it is difficult to have real persons 24/7 waiting for calls in the company...

By the way this form of advertising has started by another small company this year. If I'll remember their name I will post it here.

I would never pick up my phone and call a number like that.

If I wanted something so inconvenient, I would find a phone book.

You are right, I would rather email if I really needed something.

Of course there are many types of businesses that would benefit from this.

I say that because there are a lot of companies that use the same model in the television advertisments.

That's right, but television is a whole different thing than internet.

The internet consumer wants results after 3 clicks. Telephone is very far beyond that...

Good luck with this.  Many internet users are still on 56k with only one phone line.

Correct. Even in so cal, I know a whole lot of people that would never consider using a service like this for just that reason.

If I wanted to call somebody, I could use a classifieds paper.

I don't think that this will work
