Hi,

Has anyone seen those famous videos "Adsence decoded"? It sounds like the guy has something to say. But before i set myself up for the adventure of an 130mb download here on the island, i thought i ask if anyone can tell me if it is worth to be seen or is it just another wise guy selling (not so) wise ideas for big money?

Thanks for suggestions.

Is this a legal download samiotis? If not please modify your post.

I don't think ebooks like that can help you make money with adsense. Haven't read it, but yet I am sure that investing your time on trial and error can help more. Of course a few advices from a forum like this can speed up the process ;)

It seems to be a legal link. the site is called knowfree.net. If you feel uncomftable with it i'll remove it.

A laugh on the way:
I just received a newsletter under the title "The Alternative Solution To Buying Traffic!"
Cool stuff... but then... read carefully:

Dear George

What if I can show you a way to get thousands of visitors absolutely nothing?

Don't worry it has got nothing to do with Adwords!....... am i glad, so i can keep on using them.... ;)

These are 10 very interesting videos if you are an adsense advertiser. Meanwhile I?ve seen the videos, and I had to watch them nonstop.

My opinion on this:

Well worth watching. It reveals nothing you can't find in forums and at the Google site itself, but it has all the information collected at once and this way saves you a lot of time. The videos itself are boring the crap out of you. It's actually a pps with not much fantasy.
I think if you do what the guy says and follow his instructions, the CTR will go up. I'll try it anyway and will deliver a report of either success or wasted time here ;)
Sure thing; following these instructions can't make it worst than it is.....

One example: The top Lederman on this page...... as it is, it will never bring you more than a couple of clicks a month, even though it is the perfect format and the best spot and even though you have quite some traffic, I?m sure. The very simple reason therefore is that the colors of the ads don't match the layout of the website. Change the link colors and the background color, size up the text by 1 and this ad will start making money..... Your ads have to become part of the page. There are many more such things in those videos.
Simple things that well can improve your success rate. But as I mentioned before, most of the information is available at the Google AdSense forum and on the guidelines pages in the Google Webmaster Section. I strongly advise to read that stuff.

There are people out there they make hundreds of $ a day with only a few good made websites.
To cover the whole lesson with one single sentence I would say: If you do it; do it right.

George

PS - Turn the images off in your AdSense settings. Image ads bring only about 10% of text ads. oups....

did it mention about how he raised the traffic coming to his site? because i saw in his screen shot that his raised income is not really due to ctr only. his ad impressions rose as well.

He bought traffic at 1 cent a click. There are coupple of sites they are quite good for that. This way 100 bucks bring you 10'000 targeted visitors. Now if you can get the 100 bucks back or not from this traffic, that's the gamble. ;)

I think there is many ways to get traffic to a site. Many good ways and more bad ones. Some traffic programs are for free, but not really recommendable. The ones that cost money are not recommendable eithrer.

The most important is though that the traffic finds the information they look for. It is also crucial to know from which pages your visitors check out. Where do they leave your site mostly?

So having a nice clean and fast website with lots of information on it plus good looking and well placed ads is the insence of it all.

samiotis I removed your link, please don't link to illegal or stolen content ;) a quick look at the site you are linking to and the fact they host the files on RapidShare should have been a give away.

I'm truly sorry about that. I'll stick to post my own links only than i'm sure it's nothing stolen there.... didn't mean to do anything illigal.

I didn't thin you did, but a useful adage if it looks to good to be true it normally is, if the official site is still selling something and you find it for free elsewhere just check first :)
But don't let that stop you posting useful links from others.

i was considering that traffic method before, but since most of the cheaper ones, mostly found in ebay, send people to ones site by popunder/popups, or thru a surf exchange, it is not allowed by google adsense. i think the ones they allow are those where surfers intentionally click a link to go to your site which is similar to banners and text ads.

Even if google had no problem with pop up traffic, it is really hard to get your money back using such traffic.

Regarding that screenshot
Quote
..."because i saw in his screen shot that his raised income..."
- That is for sure fake. Or the guy has like thirty peolpe working on the project at once. It's phisically impossible to achive a jump fro 2 $ to several hundred in only one single day.
It would involve by far too much work for one person.
But i can see the principle quest. I'm sure it's possible to achive better results. After just three days applying some of the suggested changes, my CTR has trippled on the websites i was working on while on the other sites it remained the same.
Conclusion - It does work - but much slower than demonstrated.  >:D

I wish you all a merry x-mas and a happy 2008. - Thailand celebrates the first day of democracy today after 15 month of military junta.
At least a good start.... i hope.

Cheers
George

cheap traffic = cheap for a reason
you don't go to the pound shop to spend £2

I haven't changed anything about the traffic to get a higher CTR. I just made some positioning and layout changes like the one on top here :) - well done - look at the ads now - compared to before. It will make a difference if you get payed 4 ct per click or 20 or 80 ct per click. Check out your stats in two three days and let me know if you can see a difference. For the rest....small steps... but it will get you there.

lol, um their is a presumption that we don't already have well optimised sites ;)
Most of the senior members of this forum have been using adsense for several years while its always good to keep checking how your sites are doing you can only do so much. Personally 2 years ago adsense made up 95% of my online monetised sites income now its less then 10% yet I earn more with adsense today then I did then.

Personally I favour good affiliate programs, for example in the UK their are several leading electronic companies that offer commission of nearly 30%, now if a good quality television is £900 ($1800) and your taking a third home with you it doesn't take much to equal your monthly adsense earnings. The alternate route is high volume low price high demand bits. Personally I favour email and zip submits for many of my sites, particularly if they are geared for social media, most social media users don't like adverts and are not ready to give away their cash. So its much easier to offer them something for free ;) If you target your sites well you can easily get a couple of thousand visitors a day and as long as you did not pay for the traffic can afford a relative low conversion rate.

i for one am steadily build my downline with a "get paid to read emails" affiliate program. i let others do the work for me.
