Here's a cool new site:
mmmzr You pay good money for a link on the site, but when someone else buys the next link you get your money back. And it gets even better: the person after that will refund you the same amount of cash again, doubling your money! The only problem I see is that with doubling the price for each new link the links will soon (like they are starting already) cost so much that I don't think they will be sold... Then again, there could be some crazy people with a lot of cash that dont mind spending $1k for a link.
The site has not been seriously promoted yet, but I'm getting quite a few hits from my link in there!

Yeah that's a nice site.
It is yours right? I saw the webdigity link there with your refID and supposed that.
It is a cool idea, but yet it is another clone of the milliondollar home page project, so I am not sure how a site like this can survive

No it's not my site. I wish it was! I actually paid $64 for the webdigity link, and already got the payment refunded. Now if someone buys that $256 link I'll get another $64. The guy who created the site has made some quick cash, but I don't think it will grow much more, the links are just getting too expencive.
I did notice that I now have 3 refferals to my user here, so I guess you got some traffic from the site ;D

That's cool, and thanks for the link ;)
Finally I start to believe that the best idea in the internet marketing is allways the most silly that you can think of :P

yes, but instead of just asking people for their money, you are selling them links, which makes it legal. I think its a great idea!

of course the idea is cool (because your selling something is the idea the same, only people from the first moment will be happy)

Well not quite, since the price doubles on each new row of links. The first row only cost $1 a link, so these people made $2 out of their initial payment. The people getting in later, like at $32, turned their payment in to $64. But yeah, if you get in too late, you only pay and get nothing back, except for some very expencive traffic.
I'm actually working on something similar: buy a link and earn your money back when new people sign up, but the price will not rise at each row. Just working on the exact maths behind my concept, to make sure I pocket a tiny percentage on each level.

I just went to check out that site again, and it looks like some people have already paid over $2000 for a link on the page. If this guy is not playing us he just pocketed over $11,000 in a few days!
Also the traffic comming in from that site is exploding! Are you getting any traffic from there Nick?

It's on all the blogs, this sites traffic is growing very fast. I think this could be the next $1million website. He's got $18,000 in his pocket already!
There's always people who will pay insane amounts for the links, if you are one of the people making $10,000 a month on adsense, I don't think it will be a big problem to spend a couple $k on a link, just for the hell of it ;)

I've got a little over 100 visits on my blog from the site. Plus I doubled my $64 ;D Right now the prizes are insane, but there will be a few more sales I bet. With everyone blogging about the site, the PR will jump up on the next update, makeing the links worth something (well maybe not $8000...)

afterwards I think that this is done by some criminal minds, like:
buying some cheaper ads to raise the price and on top level getting the money because of the top ads and asking for a refund...
