Any suggestion how to promote Jokes and SMS based sites ?

Hello to all

Recently I have added SMS and Jokes base site in my websites list. It's up now and I am adding contain to it (basically copy and paste from internet, only this way you will be able to get contain for these kind of websites). Now I want need your help -

a) How should I promote it, kindly tell me in details

b) I know copy and paste is not at all good idea but this kind of websites are running on this method. I want to know - to what extent this is okay.

c) If you guys have any suggestion than please let me know.

I think you need to add something unique to your site. Promoting a site with copycat content is not easy because such a site has nothinng new to offer.

For instance it is impossible to get social media attention with content that has already been noticed in other sites in the past.

But this is such kind of website which one get popularity than visitors will come again and again ... plus you cant create jokes and SMS contain.

How much this will effect with the SEO point of view. In our country Happy New Year SMS have 794,000 results. Do you think that I will be able to make to come in first page in these 50 days.

If yes than what should be my strategy for link building. Please help.

I guess you can start by getting your links to content rich articles in blogs. You can make a few accounts to several blogging services and start posting content with links to your site. Also you can try services like squidoo. Also you can try a few niche directories (if there are in your niche) but this is not so good promotion and it wont help much (plus you have to get just a few links from them, overdoing it will harm you)

In general you should manually link to your site as it is too hard to get social media attention with duplicate content.

Kindly tell me what if I will start posting in humour base forum and get the link from the signature. I never did wit squido. In which manner this is gonna to help me. Please clear it.

Somn just try it out and you will find out what works best for your site. Only trial and error will give you results.

Don't expect someone here to tell you exactly what to do in order to success, because if someone knew that I guess he/she would have a joke site at the moment or he/she would charge you a lot of money for that information :)

Somn, be careful about duplicate content issues.  Are the content you copied are free for syndication?

Yeah I am taking contain (such as jokes) from other website and modified it bit and than adding to my website.

There are sites that offer their content for for sindication - which you can freely put on your site and there are other sites that has copyrighted content - which you can't copy any content from. 
As what Nik already suggested, it is better to produce original content.
