hey, james here... i've been running a small blog now for a little over a year, and just recently after reading alot on some of these different forums ive started trying to monetize my blog with adsense and am looking to find different easy ways to send lots of new traffic. So far since i started ive just been dropping alot of links in comments i post on others blogs.. and doing social bookmarking which is where most of my traffic comes from using the automated software from bmdemon.pcti-system. com .. which im sure most of you are probably using also. But I was jus curious, as im still fairly new to this, what are some other easy effective ways i could drive alot of new traffic to my blog? And furthermore, for those other methods for traffic are you aware of any effective software like bm demon that will automate those methods for me that isnt going to cost me much?? As I work 40 hours a week and often find myself with very limited time to work on this project... Any advice / comments / suggestions would be very appreciated!! thanks

Hey, Jamesx187, from your post, I notice that u've just been dropping alot of links in comments you 've post on others blogs (i guess they are all do-follow links, right? have you checked that yet? Becauz no follow links will be ignored by the search engines. They won't help you rank higher. The no follow attribute was introduced as a standard feature of Blogger and WordPress. This took most of the SEO value out of links posted in user comments of blogs)
AND it seems that you've got a certain amount of traffic . YOu also mentioned that social bookmarking is where most of your traffic comes from.
Then, I probably should say congratulations!
You are right on the path! keeping on , money is rolling!

i agree with this guy
and one thing i want to add--Rather than make 10 so-so posts every day, make 3-5 really good ones. If you want to increase exposure, the 10 so-so ones will help in the short term, but in the long run 3-5 good ones will grow the subscriber base more

articles are a good place to start, and its free. if you can post them on associated content maybe you can make a little extra from it,

You can drive traffic to your blog by article submission.
Write an article and optimize the article for the keyword you want targeted. Then write a second one - different content but with the same subject and same keywords.
Post one article on your blog. Post the other on directories with a link back to your main article on your site.

When you comment, try looking for those commentluv enabled. More so, go for quality content and make use of keywords in them (don't forget the title). It really takes time to do so... Since you mentioned you work 40 hours a week, I suggest you try outsourcing some services, which you cannot do alone since you have limited time. Actually, this is what I did before, and a company named Burn Your To Do List helped me out with my site promotion. I wish you all the best for your business!

I agree RSS feed Generator helps a lot to get more traffic, there are many such tool where you don't have to pay any thing and your work is also done. but if your website content is not that attractive then whatever you do, will be just waste of time, So first comes, content, then again contend should be added once a while and then create traffic through different methods.

Go for websites like: Stumble, Digg, Twitter, Traffup, Hubpages, Squidoo, Facebook, Youtube (create attractive videos with link of your blog on it), and Ycombinator.
