It has been happening for years and many people have become very wealthy as a result of it

Sounds more like the fraud of the century.....

I wonder what will be done with this money. Are they going to return it to advertisers or what?

its sad to read articles like this. at least with MFAs, advertisers get real people visitors instead of bots. i just hope the sponsors will always have a way to weed out those bot clicks.
