CPM Banner for new/small sites (CodeAds)

I have found a CPM banner agent that will accept small or new sites. They pay reasonably well to, which is from 1.20 up to 1.80 CPM. Check out http://www.codeads.com/ . Try it out, it might work for you.

which banner sizes do they offer?

various, from 486x60 all the way to 160x600

no smaller sizes like 120*60?

they have 120x240 and 125x125

I'm not convinced I can't help be alarmed when their front page proudly says
now CPM only really pays if its fair, so for a pay out its per 1000 American or Canadian IPs in this case

Your not actually being paid per impression you only get paid if they think an American or Canadian saw the site, while not exactly a con its certainly on the unfair side, how do they determine if I'm from the UK?

yes thats almost certainly what they use, problem is not all IP are country specific and what if some one uses
a proxy, is coming via google translate etc etc
There are much better CPM schemes out there they may have lower CPM but all your visitors count ;) the reason this one is so high is because they only pay for a fraction of your visitors, more over you will have trouble proving that there numbers are wrong if they decide to under value your visitor numbers from the US.

I wonder if they count Hawaii or Guantanimo bay as in the US?

why use cpm for a small site? waste of banner space i think. unless you are serving popunders for cpm. use adsense ads or aff programs for your banner inventory instead of cpm banners.

Affiliate programs are great when you have a very specific audience.

If you run a general interest site or a site that has too many impressions, other ways can help too ;)

I used them for a few days:

most of all on the frontpage from two proxies which are very busy now because of the US kids at school.

result 11 impressions from codeads and almost 1000 according other stats I have, I will wait until I have the number of uniques presented by Google analytics and I will decide what to do...

I think we need an explanation from them too.

Ok, I got my stats (Google Analytics)
US traffic (UNIQUE visitors counted)

schoolsurf.us = 720
yourproxy.eu = 104

(I thought I added the code to a third site but I don't)

and the number of impressions at codeAds = 32 (can't believe that!)

Nick if you want to invite the owner of Code ads to this thread, go ahead (I think about to stop with them)

A few visitors off could be because the visitors are counted in different timezones, but this is just way too far off!

No I am in $5. My concern is that they really slow up the page load, but I have to know if they are paying too....
