And it is very close to reallity.

People think that developers and designers are just geeks who can do anything in about 5 minutes, and of course for free.....

My family, at least one member, seems to think what we do is playing. Why? Because it is not 'physical' work and we actually enjoy what we do.

You'd think by now I would have her trained better than that.

It is very difficult for someone who haven't work in  a similar work like ours, to understand how difficult is to work with your brain....

They think it is like viewing movies or something :)

I hate it when this happens, it happened to me too... my dad also scolded me in college doing this stuff since he thought I was just playing and I was up all night... even got me to pay for electric bills... Until I did pay and never complained... when I got out on my own, Is till did the same stuff... earned respect from peers, and so my dad then understood my work and asked me to explain... so now were good... my siblings even consider me still like a young tike since im the youngest... but when they were at my age they werent earning the same as I am, now they want to partner with me... see how things can turn up to be...

this is a fun thread.

in my case, when i started my research about earning money on the internet more than two years ago, my wife scolded me when i stay up til 2 am. she thought money earned from the internet is just a couple of cents per day. he he he... last month i bought a new aircon and just a few days ago a new tv and dvd player from money i earned from the internet. whenever we use our internet money, i just cant help it not to tease her...

I am very happy for you man. It is very good to know that your friends make money from internet. And especcially in your country where money is much difficult to earned otherwise. Keep up the good work, and good luck :)

thats like the tagline "PLAY HARD" , its like playing but its not, its pretty difficult and can cause burnout if youre not careful... I had several friends in my younger years who were pretty advanced than me techwise, they used to do some white hatting (sometimes black too)... they used to earn cents from other sites, but when collected amounts to more than enough... They all burned out, and only two of us remain of the original six, two of them dropped out of school, one of those two had a heart problem caused by stress etc... the other just plain dumbed out and works now as a sanitation attendant... the other one fiished college and bummed out, the last one just disappeared, had no contact or whatever... the remaining two of us tried to help them out, but they have too much pride... the last one is now a tech trainer and maintainer... so be careful of the burnout guys...
