I'm probably posting this in the wrong place but Im not sure where to post this so...
My question is this... I want to know all the information on the system properties screen general tab. I can't right click and go to properties because it is disabled. So is there a program to run that can check this or an online script for this?
Thanks 8)

What information on the system properties screen general tab do you need to know? And why do you need this information? If you tell us, there might be another way or another place to find the information you require. Or maybe you don't need the information at all to be able to do what you want...

I didn't knew that :)
Well to find the SP try to go to the Help -> About page of Internet explorer.
I think it has the service pack there.

Nikolas: I think that only shows you the service pack level of IE
You could try to go to the windows update website. That will run a scan and let you know what updates are available for your service pack level. But I'm not sure the scan will work with your authorisation level.

That's not possible. DLLs should be registered in registry along with the settings.
Only a few - non microsoft - programs work without installation.

Internet explorer is one of the most messiest pieces of code on the planet, and has more tentacles then an octopus, unless you run the installer you will not be able to find all the registry keys and dlls needed. Ask your Sysadmin if they can put it on for you ;)
most programs today you can't just copy from one machine to another particularly Microsoft ones

I remember a site that had "cracked" this to be able to run many versions of IE at once, but that was before the 7 version....

Microsoft have issued a virtual PC setup to allow web developers to have both browsers running at the same time, given that's a pretty extreme method (virtualising a second OS) I'm guessing there is no simple get around.
