It's interesting for me to know how many members use to smoke! So, do you smoke?

Yes I do, and I smoke a lot. Hope to find a solution to that at some point.

I do smoke, but I am trying to give up... Yet without success...

I used to smoke and it was very hard for me to quit... it takes a lot of time and patience... It mainly depends on your will.

Smoker.... Sometimes i trhink it is goog, but most of the time I hate those poisoned sticks!

I don't smoke and suggest others to avoid this bad habit... The only solution to it is your own will power!

yes, it is hard to quit smoke if you started it when you are still young... but you can... though it will you a longer time... if you smoke 10-15 cigarettes a day then why don't you try 3-5 a day...

Smoked for a few years as a teen. Gave it up by the time I was 20.

It was easy for me to never start - both of my grandfathers died of smoking-related illnesses when I was only 6 years old.

My step-father smoked and quit twice - the second time stuck. I know it's hard to quit. Do the math, how much  money are you setting on fire each year? What could you be doing with all that money instead?

No doubt that you're right Olaf. I worked with a single mom who was having trouble paying for school lunch for her two boys yet smoked 2 packs a day - one pack would have paid for the lunches. She couldn't understand why she didn't get much sympathy from her co-workers.

I consider myself lucky that I never started. After watching Dad quit I know he must have went through hell.

I haven?t experienced smoking ever since.  The reason behind that is that I feel sick everytime I smell lighted cigarettes.

My parents were chain smokers. Disgusting habit. Must have turned us all off as kids as I don't smoke, and none of my siblings smoke.

not really: I stopped smoking the day I tried my first e-cigarette. apparently it might seem less important, but even considering that I'm still taking nicotine, I eliminated all other poisons contained in cigarettes and combustion residues. I can also control the amount of nicotine gradually decreasing it. And I'm also saving a lot of money :)

I tried before way back in high school but I couldn't find any reason to continue. First, it's costly. Second, it causes bad breath. Third, it sucks. Fourth, it makes you reach your death even faster..and the list just goes on and on...

Well you can't really do it on your own. Pray to God and ask His help to lead you to the right direction.

I smoked for many years and I still hate myself for it.. It was such a waste of time .. and waste of a lot of money too.. I'm so glad that I stopped three years ago and never started again..  I feel so much better now giving it up wasn't nearly as hard as I always thought.. If I can do it everyone can!!

I use to smoke. the electric cig has been working pretty well for me. (not a promotion btw)

I don't smoke. I am happy that our parents forbid us not to try to smoke since it has many bad effects. One of my uncles died at an early age because he smokes a lot. How old are you when you started to smoke?

Not anymore.  I gave them up about 20 years ago.  Just decided that it was time to give them up and threw away the pack I had at the time.

We are really wanting to quit.  My fiancee and I just talked about it the other day and we both decided we needed to quit soon.

Quitting would not be that easy. Especially, that people who smokes are having the tendency to have withdrawal syndrome.
