Does Twitter Effect Your Serp Rank?

Does anyone know if twitter has any longer timer effect on your serp rank for your keywords and if so, how?

Twitter will only help as Matt Cutts has said if you have a lot of tweeters with reputable reputations(lots of followers) and than they re-tweet your link multiple times to show its a news worthy article. I would love to set up a special doing this just dont have the means to do so.

Thanks. I'm in the same position, I would like to study it in depth to see if anyone tweet has direct impact on the keyword but I just don't have the time to do that.

Google treats all links the same whether they are from twitter or facebook. It doesn?t matter how many links a site have but what matters is how many links are reputable. Google considers how reputable a site is while ranking it.
Twitter helps in forming a good social media reputation which is the prime ranking factor for Google. Thus Twitter does help increase your SERPs.

SEO Moz did many researches on this topic and in 2010 link form tiwtter had quite big influence on your position but this year they say that this influence is less visible. Instead, sharing links on Facebook seems to help a lot.

Twitter is a good high PR social media, so it has good SERP value.

Twitter is also useful and effective to get good result in serp, depending on how you socialize and if you have a lot of followers.

Unfortunatly twitter has lost its power of effectign SERPS due to the fact the rel="nofollow" has been added to the tweeted urls
