Dreamhost - Have I come across a winner?

http://www.dreamhost.com

I recently signed up for an account on dreamhost for a year because someone gave me a coupon "MIDMAY" which gave me $50 off the total yearly cost! Anyhow, is it all too good to be true?

I'm paying $7.99 a month for 20gig storage and 1TB bandwith and it is continually upgrading! It just seems too good to be true but I have not had one problem with them as of yet! Is anyone else a member on there?

Feel free to use the same coupon I did.. "MIDMAY"

That's a nice deal, and you are right, it sounds to good to be true.

But don't worry dreamhost is a well known company.

About the traffic they may have some rules that make your bandwidth less. For example some companies give lots of bandwidth, but you can't have file downloads or x% more images than html pages, etc. Check the terms of the service to be sure :)

yes right, I looks a good hosting company. If they support multi domain hosting (to have more then one website) I know already my next hosting partner...

Also check whether they provide 24/7 support and atleast 99% uptime.

I have no site right now, but I will launch my site in this christmas possibly and my priority will be on support and uptime,  I hope that should be priority for any one any way if not special.

I think there a lot of providers in US with this kind of support also smaller companies. And the uptime they have all the 99% if they pay their bills ;-)

keep us informed if your site is online!

Dreamhost affiliate program pays $97 for each referred customer. They even allow you to create your own coupon code for any value less than $97 - the balance you get to keep.

And one more point - you do not need to be an existing Dreamhost customer to become an affiliate.

yes the affiilate program is good, (don't give away this big coupons for 90 $ or so).

The only bad thing is you need wait 3 month after signup because the don't pay until the payback period is over.

By the way the it's a great shared hosting plan (and a good company)

Neat thing about bluehost is that they increase their bandwidth and storage every month by a percentage.

I am using bluehost and love them. They are on it, only thing is they do not notify me when things go down.

why should things go down? If they need to do some maintenance, it's no problem to send a mail to customers. I wouldn't accept this...
