Many times when I close my Firefox 3.0 browser with the upper-right X close button, I get this Firefox crash dialog...

1) Have you send the report to mozilla?
2) Does the site has javascript?
3) Try to replay the error, and see the memory that is consumed by FF

I have been using FF3 since download day with no issues whatsoever. I have 20-30 tabs and windows open at a time and abuse it immensely.

As luck would have it , I just moved to a thinkpad and FF3 crashes on me when I go to newsites and open too many tabs. Anyone find a link to a fix yet?

Ya I used to get that problem too, but I didn't have any other alternative until Google Chrome came out and now i'm saved.
