I was just wondering if any of you tryed a free image hosting website and have made money off of it? I am just trying to throw out some different idea's. I know bandwidth could be a problem, what about ram and hard drive space? Do you think it would be processor intense?

I played with this idea but I didn't created one because of the bandwidth. I think it's also difficult to get a lot of users (there are so much). My myspace resource site has also a image hosting feature (no one use it)

I think if it was a good quailty easy to use website then getting users would be easy. Its the bandwidth, thats the scary part. Although I found a place that will put you on a shared 100MB port for $149 a month. I dont know how many server's they are putting per port. I emailed them and got no response back.

I hosted my proxies on some of them and it was terrible, bandwidth costs money period ;)

I think it is too late for image hosting web sites. I mean that need has already filled by the other services (eg. imageshack) and there is nothing you can do to make yours unique in order to get users.
