I don't think there is any reason to use a tool for directory submissions. After all too many submissions will harm your SERPs

What? Google will never penalize you for inbound links. If they did, I'd go buy a bunch of crappy ones and point them at my competitors.

Well, no, I really wouldn't do that because I'm an honest guy. But you get my point. Google would never base their SERPs on something where a competitor could sabotage the results.

These inbound links won't hurt you. But they may not help you either.

I don't like to use any kind of submitters because they cannot give you the exact status of your submission.
