Latelly I would like to take some promotion  experiments with press releases.

As this is something new for me, I would like to find a free service to send the first ones (and then go for prweb, or whatever)

Do you know of any free service that distributes press releases?

Just found some companies that send free press releases:

http://www.free-press-release.com/ (which I dpn't like much)

http://www.prleap.com/

http://i-newswire.com/

With a first look, prleap sounds to be the best, as in their free plan, they send your press release to 18.000 sources. I guess that's a good start :)

Of course is not good like prweb who send to about 100.000 sources, but I guess you get what you pay for :)

That's true. The only thing I have to do now, is to learn how to write a press release, or send a pm to Michelle :)

most of them have the same structure:

titel / short description
1. introduction/about
2. the news message
3. conclusion / reference

but if you write on a story for more then a hour you should as Michelle to check it :D

Hi Guys,

Been mainly lurking the last couple of weeks - missed this thread somehow. Had a project that took me out of "my office" and left me only about 20-30 min in early am and a couple of hours in the evening to work on my stuff.

I am hoping the project will be over today or tomorrow. Nik, I would love to work with you on promoting the new site. Can you wait for me for a couple of days, then I can give you more time and attention?

I can't right now; but I'll also report back here where some of the copywriter forums say to post releases. (I haven't been to those foums in quite a while.) I will see if there's any new places they are talking about.

I thank you both for the votes of confidence on my abilities.
