Have anyone used GIMP Visit through proxy here for graphics?

Can you share your thoughts on this?

I plan to install Linux on my pc ( Ubuntu ) and I wonder if I will be able to work with it.

It is very good and in the recent versions is more like Photoshop.

Before you make your linux machine, have in mind that there are also windows versions available

The GIMP is... well... the best you can get for free. It isn't even close to Photoshop in overall design or features though.

I agree, but as an open source application, it is just a matter of time to get all the feautures that Photoshop has.

That's absolutely right. As soon as I'm done my million other projects, I should re-make the GIMP.

I kind of figured. Well, I'm kind of socially challenged, so can you translate your joke into something I might be able to laugh at?

Torvald = Linus Torvald = Creator of Linux.
GIMP is opensource , meaning the code is free for all to use ,view and edit under the GPL.
He was just saying that htmlmaster is one of linus' friends and hes come here to come and redo gimp to make it as good as photoshop.
Atleast Thats what  I think he was implying :)

Yeah, if you have bad English, I shiver to think about how bad you would call some of the English I hear (or see). Anyway, I knew who Torvalds was (who doesn't)? But the rest explains that joke, I actually find it quite funny :)

Anyway, it is one of my projects to take something free and open source (for starters, it would be a lot smaller than the GIMP), and make it better. Got any ideas?

To be honest , I dont like Gimp. Too many windows open , very confusing interface and i dont like the layers window , Photoshop is tonnes better , even graphics gale (www.humanbalance.net Visit through proxy) is better than Gimp!
Graphics Gale owns :)
