Hello from Nepal

Hi everyone!
I am from Geneva, Switzerland and I live in San Francisco. I am currently in Kathmandu, Nepal doing my first gig for an international NGO. I will certainly need some help at some point. For example, does anyone know what would be an acceptable weight (sorry if it is not the right word, my first language is french) for a website (with or without flash parts) to be user friendly in a developing country. Everybody that has tried internet in India or Népal knows what I am talking about  ;D. The website I will have to deliver is intended for locals.

Regarding your question, I think that you should not have more than 100kb of information per page. Try the Yslow firefox extension to check how your site would load in different circumstances.
