How does bannerexchanges work and what is the benefit ?

I short of understand how the banner exchanges work (maybe I don't know jack)
but I am not sure how they really benefit you ? 

I mean you already got a visitor on your site why would you want them to leave with a banner click
instead of an adsense click ? ;)

I am more interested to learn about the game site exchanges like funklicks and the like

these arcade banner exchange works different then normal banner exchanges, because the arcade exchange has a high CTR.

The good point is that you can save impressions (traffic) for later, example you have already some busy days, than safe the impressions for later to have some visits then. With funclicks its also possible to earn money for the click (not much and only the arcade).


but you're right banner exchange is not the best way to generate traffic.

Plus there is a lot of cheating to these kind of programs.

I think banner exchanges belong to the past like the webrings (do you remember those?) and the topsites (except for some categories of sites)

yeah. other banner exchange members place their banners way below the page so theyre just wasting your credits. i just use them on special occassions like here for instance and places where i cant place affiliate banners or ppc ads.

how much traffic do you get from there?

the ring itself is averaging 375 hits/day. depending on your site name and description, today, my top member gets 141 hits while my site only 39.
