I've just got an idea from
this thread, and thought to start a thread about how geeks we are.
So, let us know how geek are you?
I guess a photo will also help, so post one if you have. BTW should we give a prize to the most geek of webdigity? :)

I guess I'm pretty high on the geek list:
- Leather jacket? Yes, I have one!
- Glasses? Yes, I need to wear them.
- Motorcycle lover? The only way I can drive is a moped, so of course I do!
- Favorite activity on a day off? Computer programming or repairing of course.
- Favorite music? Computer generated or alternative.
- Way I remember my schedule? My PDA, of course.
Here's my pic:

I think I must be one, because I will do nothing without computer.
I will sit on the computer for all day, even date a girl, I will use the net.

I am also a member at this other forum where the two admins now two owners got hitched through the forums... They met after a few years of arguing about semantics and they never parted since...
How geek am I?
I'll let you know when I replace my Mobo and VC and flash in a new BIOS to my work PC and get it's broadband connection back up as well. After of course reinstalling the OS and achieving this using a WinPE and checking if all hardware are a Go before actually putting all the hard work in...

Now that's geek designer! Where were you the last couple of days?

Mon 13 August 2007, 09:50 am GMT +0200
I was actually having troubles with my work PC, it encountered XP Black Screen Of Death... Currently I'm busy reviving it, if not, I have to reinstall the whole thing. Two PC's in one week to break, the first has a burnt VideoCard (VC), I forgot to turn-on my air-conditioning unit that day, I purchased a new exact same one but failed to boot it up, I might have a burnt MOBO as well, I hope its just my AGP slot.
The second PC for storage had a BSOD, now I'm just using my old Laptop in this cafe here to surf. At least they have free wi-fi here so I can use it as long as I keep buying coffee or croissants.
Sorry for the slight hi-jack of the thread...

How geek am I? Hmm lets see:
Ask for directions? no, my PDA with GPS receiver will show me the way, thank you.
Reaction after the first time seeing Toy Story: How much time do you think the rendering took?
Do you need to know something about anything? Let me Google it.
Even with my l33t googling skills I couldn't find that piece of hardware I need, 2 weeks later I have it all tested and working sitting here on my desk, designed and soldered by yours truly.
Why doesn't the spell checker know googling?

no, but that doesn't proof that you wouldn't own it if you hadn't been a lab technician ;)

I should before saying my score point out I studied Physics at university as well as computing.
The roleplaying books technically are not on a bookcase but in the attic.
I use to live in a shared house with a media student who had a huge sci fi movie collection and we didn't have a tv license so we could only watch what we had on tape or DVD

On the test 35.89744... But no one has yet called me a geek in person... Whats not on the list is tinkering with engine parts... Knowing where every bolt is on a 4G-32 engine, knows the difference between diesel and gasoline engines... Playing AirSoft Guns and Wargames, and all else Im a geek and an engine head...

Your only making it worse, my parents wouldn't let me learn to drive until I could strip a car engine clean it and put it back together, and very sadly I do have engine remapping software for my car on the laptop and have remapped the onboard computer :( I am a geek
