I finally got StarCraft!

I finally got StarCraft the other day, by purchasing the Battle Chest (it had the original game, the expansion pack, and strategy guides for both) from Wal-Mart. For those of you who don't know what this game is, it's one of the few games that playable via dial-up internet connection. Basically you guide a civilization to victory over it's enemies, but the civilizations are all 23rd Century types.

It's a great game, and worth the money I spent, IMHO. I will be probably playing it whenever I am not working at McDonalds, sleeping, working on one of the 7 sites I am responsible for, or just plain reading a book or computer magazine.

hey, i know starcraft. used to play with the it and warcraft maybe 5 years ago. both original versions. ive seen many versions of warcraft since then. so starcraft only have one version and one expansion pack?

anyway, it been a while since i last played a videogame in my pc. the last one was a starwars strategy game. now im thinking of getting a nice joystick and a flight sim game.

Its all very against blizzard's terms of service.  I wouldn't go selling gold.  Hell i would go buying a game that I had to pay more money to play.  Seems like something a sucker would do.

it seems there are plenty since there are lots of sites selling WoW gold. they can even afford to advertise with adwords.

Blizzard announced they are working on starcraft II, it will rock !

Yeah Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 and RedAlert 3 all waiting for them, as they are old games I liked which now is developing new sequels. I wasn't into internet much when I was playing Diablo, but I sold my super Barbarian to one guy who asked for it years ago, and I thought 250USD was too big to pass up for it, then I thought, I spent countless hours developing the Barbarian and getting all the nifty items, that I actually lost something there...

I was playing StarCraft about 8 years ago. I like to play protoss and build cariers as much as possible.

I like to play Zergs. They really has powerful units and they are very easy and strong.

Yoo..good now wait for Starcraft 2 to get released . It will be awesome judging from Blizzard's track record .

i thought you were talkin about starcraft 2... got me excited for a bit there... what i know is it will be released at the end of the year...

Hhm... Starcraft is good one, but Starcraft II will be very interesting to investigate. I will be waiting.

That game was way advanced in the RTS genre when it came out. The 3 sides are brilliant but specially the sticky gorish side that spreads its guck, has units with the ability to go udnerground, etc. Loved it back then!

Tried playing it again online with a friend but has a problem with having differnt versions or something.

Good for you. If you really like doing some campaign in Starcraft, i suggest that you start from it's origial then download or buy a software of Broodwar, that way you won't get confused with the flow of the story.

Just reinstalled my original SC and BW to practice for the SC2 release... I'm quite rusty, but this should be another way to hog all my R&R time...
