Having just learned that at least one of my sites is not displaying properly in IE7 I went to download it today. I put off using it and figured it was only a matter of time anyway but to my surprise I found that now there's IE8b2 too. Don't know where I've been that I haven't seen any conversation on yet another version of IE that our sites will have to work on. I looked at their CoDe Magazine article on making sites work across multiple versions of their browser and it only made me angrier.

Anyway, is anyone running it yet? What I'm wondering is does IE8 in "compatibility mode" truly show how a site looks in IE7? Or do I really need to test with both? And then there's all the folks like me who are still using IE6.

Oh, how I hate IE; let me count the ways.  :-X

Has anyone seen visitors using Chrome? How well does that handle code?

I try to write my sites to the W3C standards but unfortunately that is far from a guarantee that things will work properly. Oh, it's going to be a long weekend.

Sorry for the rant, I'm not a happy camper right now.

Hi,

IE8 is at the moment only for windows nerds :D, check google there are some previews about IE8 and standards.

Chrome is also in beta and Google is not very active to promote this browser at the moment. Your site looks fine if the site is valid coded, you might have some issues with old javascript code

Well I've downloaded the IE8B2 to give it a try and it's terrible as suspected...My site(Personal Blog) did received a couple of Chrome users but rarely. I'm using firefox as my primary web-browser but I also do use Chrome as my secondary.

From what I know most browsers will look perfect if all the coding is valid including the javascripts but I might be wrong.

Frankly speaking I am happy using Mozilla Firefox browser and think that it is the best one available.
There are so many features, functions and ad-dons...
It is my choice!
