Blog comments normally get deleted if the blog owners deem them as spam.
So chances are that the 100 blog comments you made 90 of them were deleted.

Blogging is way better and will get you better results. But it is time consuming to create a blog and write a blogpost.

If you write more original and creative articles in your blogs, it's benifit for your site, which can not only increase traffic, but Also improve the number and PR value; But if you do the same things in blog commenting, there is little effect, So I think Blog writing is better than Blog commenting.

I think blog writing is better than blog commenting because if you offer quality and informative content via blogging then visitors come back to revisit and you can offer backlinks to your sites as much as you like. While in blog commenting, you have to wait for approval, also have to search do-follow and relevant blogs for blog commenting.

Having your own blog has all sorts of benefits that you cannot compare it with blog commenting. It's the difference between owning a mercedes and being given a lift in one.

Blog writing is much better. You can choose the direction of the blog, and you can always sell it if it is successful! Of course, you can put adverts on your own blog without them being treated as spam.

Blog commenting is only done to get back-links, this increases the rank of a keyword for your site and Blogs are written to get as much traffic as you can but you need to have an attractive content...

I prefer blog writing because it give you a better result.

Both are ok because it all depends on PR of the site where you are submitting. May be one blog comment on 5PR site is more important to Google then just 10 normal blog post...

If you're posting a comment with the hope of driving traffic to your own site, think carefully before you include a link in your comment. Of course you should include your link if the comment box has a place for it, but leaving a link in the body of your comment is a risky thing. Many people think it's great marketing, but a minority of people think it's obnoxious and pushy.* If you decide to do it, make sure you've written a thoughtful comment that truly contributes to the conversation on the owner's site, not a useless comment that's just a transparent excuse to leave your link. It's also considered more acceptable if your link points to something you wrote that's relevant to the conversation, not just a link to your general landing page.

Hello AmbrellCooder
You had said it yourself, blog posting is more beneficial than commenting. Think about this, if in doing some blog comments, you are just relying on the blog post to carry our comments links as well as for the blog author to approve your comments, why not make the blog post yourself? Also, most blogs give nofollow links, so there is a very minimal benefit. As you had said, you made 20 blogs and you had seen the good results, therefore I conclude that (in my honest opinion) blog posting is much better than blog commenting.
