I came across this announcement that Google bought GrandCentral.  Does that mean that Google is getting into the voice over IP business?

I know that google is trying to create a bigger network as they massevily buy fiber optic networks that are not used in order to provide internet services too.

In general I think it is reasonable for google to expand in new markets as they have already dominated most of the markets that they are now.

Google's vision is making a better Internet, voice services (google talk) could be a beginning.

Google talk is also part of Google Apps, why not offering more professional voice chat ;)

They are spreading their wings and want to cover every area related with internet. They have established themselves as most respected brand and everything from their factory and labs will always welcome.

Its similar like Apple. Everyone is waiting for the new product of Apple and reach at there to get one look of new product.

I respect Google because they are most ethical company,

Wow, I wonder what happened to the sales team at Grand Central. Knew a couple of them, oh well. I will have to find them on linkedin and find out.
