JS Pop Up

I can't remember where i got the link from but i saw a script that made a box pop up, when a link was clicked, on the website (not a new window) and it had information on it. When this poped up it disabled any clicking in the background untill the "close" was clicked on the pop up. Does anyone know the url for this script or where i can find one like it? Thanks
