Logo design contest

I think it is time for a new logo design contest :)

This time the logo is for Joffee Publishing Inc.

Requirements

• The logo should should have Joffee Publishing Inc and the tagline "Your electronic publisher with more!"
• It should be in vector format, as the company is going to use it in many sizes(t-shirts,etc)
• The logo should have something to do with books and computers.
• The colors should match company's site colors ( http://joffeepublish.com/ )

Prize & deadline

The prize is $100 USD payable in your paypal the day the contest ends, and the contest deadline will be the 1st of April.

We will wait for your creatives, and wish good luck to all contestants :)

Both. Diversified companies have a tendency to go far above their competitors, history-wise.

This was PM'd to me but I decided to post a reply here to give everyone an equal opportunity. I would like to see images of a book and a computer on the logo, and it should refer to the World Wide Web in some way. A transparent background would be big as well!

I would have to disagree with that, but whatever... Sort of a "Jack of all trades, master of none..."

I'll see if I can find some time to have a go on a logo for you!

If I had the chance to redo the whole thing over, I would go just computers. But past decisions are past decisions :(

I originally chose electronic publishing because it didn't require much start-up cash.

here is the fixed version. i will put a book on it if you like. Because you just pointed out that you like to be computer based.

Book would be nice, but if it were an electronic book, it would fit my idea perfectly. I like the mock 2-1. Nice with all the colors.

I gave it a shot... It is attached... the boarder can be removed if not desired

eletronic book? how so? i can just get a normal book then put the chip on the front. Or do you mean like a of those pde things? tablet?

A tablet is exactly something along my train of thought, YellowFuze.

But I like ratman87's very much (as long as the logo part is 100 pixels tall, or can be adjusted to fit...)

hi, I added a small computer :-)
i can modify the color, font and size and style of both texts and the computer if needed.

Nathan while its hard I know wouldn't it be better if you didn't comment on the entries after all you are making a decision and you wouldn't want people thinking you were showing favouritism :)

Well, I've got two examples done here, both pencil sketches. One is a full logo design, the other is a simpler one, possibly to use for watermarking and such. If they're chosen, I can colour them.

I could like that the logos could be send in a private way...so the ideas would not be stolen, or for example  i had an idea and i saw my idea in somebody else's logo and now it can be tought that i copied the idea.

I guess in that case you can pm WhiteEagle with your design. The bad thing about this way is that you wont be able to get feedback from the other members.

this is the way how it works, share here what you have done and maybe some will make your creation just better. This way its possible to get a better design. No one is here to steal somebody's work...

ahh bugger designer is here. Looks like im going to hve to step it up a notch. Here comes a book and computer. Or maybe a book and a mirochip.  8)

In any way we are not going to accept copy/paste logos here, and I can assure you for that.

nice entries people, the only thing that i'm not getting is why you all ( almost everyone ) made the logo blue ? Am I the only one thinking that BLUE does not fit well with that brown ? Come on....  ???
