Need help with one script

I need some type of download-upload script that has a admin panel so that I can control which files get uploaded. I am starting a student website for my college so that my friends can find all the exercises etc online.
I've tried with   Webmedia Explorer but it doesn't work and support is zero. Can somebody recommend me something similar?

I suppose that if you can't code one (it is not that hard) you can check hotscripts.com and resource-index.com

They both have thousands of scripts and most of them are free-open source.

Ahm, if I understand it right you are the only one who will upload files? Then why do you need an upload script? Just use ftp to upload the files to your webspace!
If you want others to upload files, too, you need a script, of course...
