Hey all,

I'm needing some help here with my parents PC. If you've been reading the shoutbox, you'll know part of the problem, the other part showed up today. When I booted my parents' PC, the blue screen showed up with the error code: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. What does it mean, and how can I fix it?

TIA,
Nathan P.

normally one of two things ;)

1) RAM swap out each ram and do a memcheck on each (this is from most reports and experience the most common problem)
2) You have screwed up the IO system in windows normally down to a corrupt or damaged device driver, so check that all the devices are working properly and then remove each external device reboot to remove drivers and reinstall unless you have an idea of which one it is  normally the graphics driver (particularly AGP cards) sop unless you have installed new hardware start there. Again its normally the memory on that card that's at fault (hence the reason to look at graphics directly after memory)

Earlier today I had another blue-screen that told me that isasp.sys had made a non-pageable part of its file pageable. What does this mean?

Never heard of that problem before, but I am sure that your pc is really messed up....

You should start by changing the memory. In your tests use only one chip.

Almost certainly the ram run a mem test on each slug and see which one is faulty and replace it :) if neither come back faulty check the graphics card (you can run a mem test on graphics cards but you will need to find the right software, if it is the graphics card it will most likely be its onboard memory.
