Thread discussion continues on Adsense Privacy Policy

All Adsense publishers are now required to have a Privacy Policy on their sites.

It did come out in late February.  However, you probably ignored the message, like I did.

It is an important change and mandatory

You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users? browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.[/QUOTE]

I noticed that on the adsense blog too and checked the dutch version for this "requirement", but strange enough I couldn't find it :( (will check again)

hmmm... right they are telling you need one, should be one statement enough for a network of similar sites?

As I understand it, each site with Adsense should have one.

As to language specific sites, other than English, I have heard that Google isn't very consistent or fast about things.  So, if a message in Dutch hasn't been sent out, then they could not really fault you for not having a privacy page, is my thinking.

What I mean is one privacy policy page which is linked from multiple websites

I saw that too, but I am too lazy to do it before the deadline :) (25-3)

I think one page for the humworks network should be enough :)

btw. Tim mentioned to use one for a network of similar sites too. He suggested also to mention all websites in this one statement. In my case I have to add the domain names for ~25 proxy domain names. I big risk to get down by some concurrent proxy webmaster :(

Ugh!  I had part of my policies that it would be posted on the home page for 10 days - I totally forgot about that... which sucked because I had then to program a notice on the homepage to display for 10 days  hah.
