NoFollow Has Almost No Effect

More than a year has passed since Google introduced NoFollow - a tag intended to reduce comment spam on blogs.  Unfortunately, NoFollow has had very little effect on spam, and it seems to be dissuading some people from providing genuine comments.

That's really bad news.

Comment spamming and referer spamming as they both are a legal way to spam it is very popular, and very very annoying.

The past days I realized how 'smart' those programs are, as they can pass even image verification!

Hope there will be a solution on this at some time.
