Non-flash because of iPhone

In the past, I've always built my sites "non-flash" due to users with older computers but now because of the iPhone. Does anyone have comments or thoughts on this?

So many clients initially want flash sites but when they find out that iPhone users cannot see their content they quickly change their minds.

Is Apple finding a way around the data hog of flash for the iPhone or is it best just to stick with what works? Curious to get other's opinions.

I would go with what works. Even if Apple solve this today it doesn't mean that people will be able to use it.

On the other hand I don't like flash for many reasons. If we need some basic effects we add jquery effects, or if we want something more we add video to our sites.

i think the best thing to do is to make two versions of your site so you can reach them all.

Flash has given a new birth to web designing. Although, it is not cached by major search engines but still people are using it a lot and you should also use it because it is the need of current age.

If its not a must try not to use flash, search engines ignore it so its a waste of time
