I deleted the program Notepad++ from my computer because I didn't want it anymore.  I rather use Notepad instead.  But now whenever I do a "view source" in IE, I'm getting this error...

Even though I have set IE's "Tools -> Internet Option -> Programs -> HTML editor" to Notepad.

Why is IE still looking for Notepad++?

Hi Frank,

this is because you registered notepad++ as your notepad replacement, I think you need to change the register (search for notepad++)

Oh, I'm not Frank.  But thanks for the advice.  I changed the key ...

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\View Source Editor\Editor Name

to the value of ...

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\notepad.exe

And it works.
