Pagerank for Blogs and Sites

Is there any difference for calculating pagerank for websites with blogs?
Some say websites can reach to higher pageranks easier than blogs. Is it right?

Its not necessary, usually worpress sites get PR quickly as far as other blogs are concerned. But PR depends upon many factors, offsite factors are most calculated. Whether it is a blog or a website.

It seems Google loves blogs, so that might give you an advantage.
