Panda Software: Antivirus ActiveScan

This all started when SpyFalcon somehow downloaded and installed itself into my computer. For those of you who don't know, SpyFalcon is one of those sites that claim you have a crapload of spyware on your computer (well you do, SpyFalcon IS spyware) and makes popups for porn and ads for crappy spyware "removers." I needed to get rid of it (even uninstalling didn't help), so I searched online, to no real avail.

Okay, I know people say, "Oh Spybot Search and Destroy is the best," or whatever, but I am simply amazed at the greatness of this site, Panda Software: Antivirus ActiveScan. With it, I removed two viruses off my computer, and found the exact location (and was able to remove (yes manually, but it was worth it) rather simply) of 30 spyware, 3 dialers, 2 hacking tools and 1 "suspicious file."

Now, I'm not one of those people who looks at porn or has no spyware protection. I use Spybot Search and Destroy, Microsoft Antispyware, and Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition. So to find all of this on my computer... I was amazed. And you know what? My computer is running a lot quicker now.

As for SpyFalcon? It's gone. For all the files I couldn't delete in regular mode, I just restarted it in safe mode and deleted them on there. It was easy. All of the spyware and such on my computer is gone, and anytime I need to find something, I'm looking on Panda. They'll even send you information on the "suspicious files" to make sure it's nothing bad.

Just thought I'd have that out there for you. Panda Software: Antivirus ActiveScan

Did you download a free trial or scan online?

Thanks for the info. BTW this post looks like a testimonial from the download site :)

I will download this too.

I did a free online scan.

Also, an extra note: Save the report they give you and then restart your computer in safe mode. I found out the hard way that the easiest way to make sure the stuff stays off is to delete all those things as the Administrator in safe mode.

another great tool is hitmanpro (http://www.hitmanpro.nl/) It downloads, installs, updates and runs a couple of programs (including adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spy Sweeper, SpywareBlaster and some more) Everyting is run by a script that selects all the right options for you. This is the best I've ever seen to remove spyware/virus
