Also I noticed a column called

art No

in the db_cart_example_products (or db_cart_products in my case) should this be Part No?

yes , the product ID or part number (should be unique)

my answer to your question is yes. i have convert all artNo to PartNo and set this field as unique

the table is an example to take a first test, I wrote the class for people with existing product catalogs. If someone is using this class with a new catalog, he is totally free in his database table design (since the catalog is not part of this class) ;)
