I think, every site has own prefiered keyword according the content.

it depends upon your niche.  Probably you should ask what are popular keywords in particular niche rather than popular SEO keyword

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. I will input though that I like Google's Keyword Tool. It is interesting to see how people search for things.

you can try webCEO or wordtracker if you want a free SEO keyword tools.

Have used WordTracker and every now and then see results that are obviously just plain wrong. I trust the Google tool much more than WordTracker.

I guess this would be SEO it self is the most popular keyword
