Producer, Interactive (12 month contract) - Canada

Position: Producer, Interactive (12 month contract) ? Astral Television Networks



Reports To: Supervisor, Interactive



Responsibilities:

• Research, coordinate and write content for mini-sites, contests, and promotions for the websites of Family, The Movie Network, Super Ecran, Mpix, Viewers Choice, Canal Indigo and Cin?pop
• When assigned, work directly with marketing and sales to develop high-impact, innovative, and cost effective online sales initiatives and programs in keeping with client and internal needs
• Provide creative concept and copy writing for websites and other interactive activities, including trivia, reviews, surveys, and another content as required
• Write, produce and distribute HTML e-mail newsletters
• Update sections of the above websites as assigned
• Proofread and perform quality checks as requested
• Provide administrative support for department as required
• All other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, film, interactive media or related field
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Preferably one or two years of related experience in web/interactive production
• Computer skills should include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint),
  HTML editing, Dreamweaver, Adobe PhotoShop, ImageReady, and Illustrator
• Strong interpersonal skills and eye for detail are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with technical and creative teams
• Creativity a must
• Works well in a fast-paced team environment
• Highly-organized and motivated, with the ability to work independently
