Hi,
I need a host for only one well developed proxy site.  Currently the stats are:
.
I removed images and files that arn't needed and so the hits will fall hopefully!

I need PHP, MySQL and about 1GB storage. I will need a high ammount of bandwicth (typo) so i can use about 20GB a day. I don't mind where it is hosted, but the admin must have msn or another way of contacting. Thanks in advance! Leave you comment here!

Discuss this aswell, like proxy hosts n stuff :)

Maybe it is time for you to get a dedicated server, or you can't afford it yet?

Well im only 14...and this is really my only site. Yesterday it made $2.18 but i think if i do it right i could make about $4 a day. I can't afford a dedicated server, but i can afford a VPS (vitual private server). Any ideas what i should do? What host is ur server with?
Edit - This looks like a good site, and affordable. Also have good feedback. What do you think? The only problem is  that its only 300GB but thats about 20 days. If i make about 3 dollars a day i could make $90 a month to pay for it. Link is http://www.servint.net/vps/index.php Visit through proxy

Currently I have a dedicated server from layered technologies.

I think I knew some companies that were hosting proxy sites. I will try to find that and post back.

Small ammount of Disk Space such as 1GB and high Bandwidth like 1000GB. I found https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp?se=%2B&ci=6731 Visit through proxy (the bottom one) that has 1000GB for 13.99 a month, but i reckon they oversell :(

Overselling is not bad, if the company has the right policy, dreamhost is good (check the link in my signature) and cheaper than godaddy, I should say try it you have a money back garanty for 97 days

at the end there are so much big shared hosting companies, it should not be a problem ;)

that will say I can start one without problems?

@Nick, the trick is that I open the remote website with f.e. curl and show the content to the user through an IFRAME?

You will have to modify the content so that all the links on the shown page will be redirected to your proxy as well. Check out PHProxy Visit through proxy

edit: maybe you should check out other proxy scripts, PHProxy is still full of bugs

Run as far away from this host as possible. For the past month they have had nothing but service problems. My site loads painfully slow if they can get their system to work. The email is horrible. No minimal span filtering, is very slow. Many times I can even log into my mail accounts. The have no phone number you can call, they do however allow you to request a call back on a problem. My plan only alows 3. If you request a call back and they never call then it still counts as if you used it. Their customer support is horrible 85% of the time I dont get my problems answered.
They do have a site that lists updates on what is going on with there services, but there is a sever lack of professionalism. I do not need to see emote characters from my webhost. If I want emotes I will go in a chat room with teenagers.
They are very very unreliable. They are over priced though they do have deals you can use to sign up and save money.
The do offer some nice one click instalations if you want, visial wiki, mysql, php, frontpage, a marketplace. But the service is so bad it is not worth it.
If you have a company website go somewhere else. If you have a personal site and you want it to run go somewhere else.
Dont use dreamhost.
Thanks anyway :)

Jnb,

I can post you a lot of posts showing something differrent, funny I have this problems too the first two weeks but they fixed everything and all my sites are online for 100% now.

You will find this information from angry people always because there is alltime something wrong with hostings or servers. How good a hosting  company is will show you how (and how fast) they can handle the problems.

but right if you have the money for a VPS its better to do that
