Receive Links

Here's a nice way to get some links to your site: receivelinks.com

The site works like this: you add some code to display text links to your website. For every link spot you offer you get credits. The credits can be used to have your own links placed on other websites. You can get a nice amount of credits (= links) if you have a website with a lot of pages.
Your members page lists the pages that have your link on them.
Have a look at http://www.receivelinks.com

(or use my referral link if you feel like it ;) )

sounds like a traffic exchange...

the bad thing is that there are lot of people just surfing the whole night to get credits (not the visitors you need)

No, its not a traffic exchange, its a link exchange. You have links placed on your site and your links will be placed on other sites.

but you don't get credits for visiting sites, so this is not getting you traffic that is worthless. It helps on linkbuilding as you will get a lot of oneway incomming links to your sites (your links can be for any site, not only to the one you are offering linkspots on)

It's a lot like digitalpoint Co-op Advertising Network, but better if you ask me...

but I got you right that your earch credits by showing links... will say a site with lots of traffic will earn a lot of credits

no, sites with lots of pages will earn lots of credits. The links are permanent (for as long as you keep the code in your pages) So every spot you offer will only be 'sold' once. The links are not rotating. So its more like doing regular 3 way link exchanges, but you don't have to find a link trading parter, they will just come from the pool.

Also different links cost a different amount of credits (partialy determaint by PR) so one link on your site could be worth 10 links on other sites

So it is exactly like the DP co-op program.

The bad thing with those programs is that you get untargeted links (eg. a webmaster related page, can take a link from a real estate related page) and the speed that you acquire those links can slow you down with Google.

With the DP co-op program your pages will show new ads on each view and your points in the program are based on the pageviews. Receivelinks creates permanent links, so this is better for google pr. You can also select to have your links only show on related pages.
