After much personal deliberation, I have decided ultimately to close sleekpixel. The domain itself will expire in 2 days time from when I have made this post on Webdigity.

I am aware some of the webdigity members have purchased paid text links with Webdigity credits on the sleekpixel site. I am sorry that the link on sleekpixel will obviously no longer exist for your site as a direct backlink. However, I feel it is only fair to give you a link of similair value, but a more guaranteed life expectancy for the link itself.

The paid links for webdigity members will be moved to my web design website, which also serves as the parent site for the J Love Network. Your links will appear under the "Partners" Panel on the left side of the site at the very bottom as direct links to your URL that was last updated by you from Sleekpixel. The pagerank of both sites is the same, except that J Love Web Design receives many more visitors and site updates than any other site on the network.

I have only maintained ownership of Sleekpixel.net the domain itself for less than a year and failed to find a true use for the domain, it is obviously graphic-related & I do not have the time to run a graphic site - the site currently (and for the past few months) was simply a paid text link site.. which is basically a no-content site and therefore should be shut down or turned into a real site anyway. J Love web design brings in income, sleekpixel does not, therefore it must go!

For those of you who maintained your links on sleekpixel, i recommend creating an account if you already havent at http://justinlove.net so you will be able to modify your link data, as well as contact me directly.

If anyone is actually interested in relieving the domain name from me, I will sell it for the same price i purchased it for from another web digity member for $20 USD - but there is only 2 days left so be sure to let me know soon.

Again i apologize to those who hoped for a direct link to last forever, at least it is being moved to a site with more relevant content, visitors, etc.

P.S. Nikolas, this of course means the ability to purchase SP links in the Webdigity shop should be taken out completely if possible

oo! some bids.. keep it up.. i will end it before midnight eastern (it is now noon)

edit: please note that the winner should create a free account with Idotz.net so that I can push the domain to their account after payment is received via preferred paypal, then you can move it to another domain provider if you wish

WhiteEagle
Wed 18 April 2007, 09:09 pm GMT +0200
He told me it has a PR of 7 for the front page, and it has more traffic than justinlove.net, which is impressive in that it never got used for it's true meaning ;) .

whiteeagle -- you must of misunderstood, or misquoted me when i attempted to sell the domain to you, pr7 surely never was said.. the site when i first got it, was incorrectly PR6 because of a error with the host company who previously hosted it, but it soon was fixed to 3, and has been that ever since. the traffic substantially was getting smaller as everyday that went by.. it is truly a great domain, with a lot of potential

Olaf -- you are right, you would have to pay the registration fee.. this is not more than 8 dollars, surely the bids for everyone else won't end at 20 just because of that

Nik -- any traffic stats since i took control of the site were sleekpixel.net/webalizer, but the site has very little traffic, as its not right now even a site so you couldnt view those outdated stats. i can tell you the traffic was little more than 50 uniques a day, not much at all, but not bad for a site that wasnt a legitimate site

Everyone: bids will need to end soon, so when moving domain we are sure the time differences wont make it expire between 10pm-2am EST, the process of pushing the domain should be instantaneous but i would hate to be fighting the click, sell you a domain, and then it expire before you could pay the fee to Idotz -- somewhat unfair, and seems like a scam.. that is not what i am trying to do at all

Ok your statement is $20 + registration fees?

Meth0d
Wed 18 April 2007, 10:21 pm GMT +0200
yes, as that is exactly what i paid for it, except i had maybe 30 days extra to pay the domain fee itself -- and anything I have done with the domain has not increased its overall value, except maybe a few extra backlinks

Method I will pay $30 (including domain registration costs) but would ask you renew the domain now and then transfer it over, to prevent loosing the domain. so in effect I have bid $22 +domain or what ever.

I'm looking for 4 or 5 sites to redevelop sleekpixel has lots of potential uses, but I'm always looking for existing sites which have very low visitor numbers for redevelopment.
