After a few weeks I like to know what do you think about google chrome.
Here is my experience:
The pros
yeah it;s fast
most websites looks good
google services are running great
I have more space (missing some toolbars)
The cons
there are still no plugins
some times tanbs getting titles from other tabs bug)
CAN'T switch the spellcheck without diving into the menue (need plugins)
I'm using both firefox and chrome for 50% and I like this browser ;) and you?

It is very fast, but as you said the lack of plugins is a real problem especially in development where you can use great extensions with Firefox.
Chrome is a great release but still needs some time to be a good browser.

i used it for a few days and i wasn't to happy with it (cant remember 100% why) but i just know it didn't live up to my expectations of a modern day browser.

I guess he is also talking about plugins. I also used Chrome just to check it and now I am using FF again. FF still has some memory leaks, but at least with the new version that you can save your session a restart is easy :)

pinkt that's a big problem indeed. Google at the moment we talk has more information on their hands than any government in the world. That's a little scary especially when you know that for a private company in USA where regulations for private data are not so strict....

and you think that Google is like a private "CIA" force? I don't think so...

Of course not :) but the fact that it could be is a little scary anyway....

Same pros and cons as you do. But then again I am an absolute fan of FF... Opera is good too until FF fixes their memory leak problems then it's good to go for me...

Google is trying to make themselves more and more strong. With every new service they are launching they are getting more and more information of local people. We are not taking these things seriously rite now but I am sure in coming years this will be really really serious point.

I tried using Google chrome after it was launch but I was disappointed, Missing toolbars and some feature that I usually found in Firefox are not there.

Chrome include many feature. It have a homepage of nine instant-access shortcut thumbnails with a sidebar of recent searches and tabs. The tabs themselves will be switched to above the window, not below it as on Firefox, and there?ll be a privacy option. It makes the web faster, safer, and easier.

I think with Google Chrome still in development stage we can still say that FF is still the number 1 web browser but I see potential with this new browser.

Joyce, the most used browser is (bad enough) IE :(
I think Chrome will become more important if there are the first plugins and more configuration/options

I don't use chrome, but I do have it installed. Rumors has it that Google will be allowing user-plugins by the next update. I really doubt that is happening anyways because that's what they said about about this current update. I'm not sure but I think that Google Chrome will replace Firefox within 4hours of it being out in the public.

There are many issues with caching and some other need things. I used chrome for 30% in the last weeks and now only google services (gmail, analytics, adsense etc.)

yeah it really needs some plug ins and maybe google is only trying it out first if it would click to the public and if it does maybe thats the time that they would improve it.

I downloaded the Google Chrome week ago but I am not using it as always... the reason is that it is too far from Firefox... cannot install add-ons because it is not applicable to it... really needs improvement...

Google chrome looks like a cut dowen kids toy version of a web browser, it's an initial release. By the time they have all the bells and whistles we users have come to expect, it will be as chunky and as speedy as IE. Okay, maybe not qute - but you know what I mean.
Ca't wait to see the new Google chrome O/S. It is actually a great idea, and I'm bacing it to work. But, it needs to offer comparable and useable features

I like Google chrome. I thinks its the best browser out there in the market. Its has been a more than a year since I am using it and I never looked back to IE or Mozilla FF. It has now plugins also.. Its light, fast and one of the most secure browsers....

It could definitely use some improving but it is my number 1 browser that I use all the time, I prefer this over everything else.
I absolutely adore Chrome. The performance, speed, everything about it is just so epic.
