I myself don't go on price but on interface, features and support. My top three registars has a great interface that is extremely easy to use to modify a single domain or a group of domains.
1. GoDaddy from $8.95
2. WelcomeOnLine.net from $7.85
3. NameCheap $8.88
and some I don't use, but like.
4. DomainSite from $6.99
5. Moniker from $18.99
6. Fabulous from $6.75
7. Enom from $29.95
8. 1&1 from $5.99
Thanks a lot for your replies in advance.

use flexible providers, I'm looking always for payment methods, transfers en the overall offer of diff. tld's
I think Godaddy is a must (if you trade domain names), further I'm reseller in Europe (.com ~ 10USD) this one is not the cheapest but my new domain is registered VERY fast and I have low rates for .eu domain names

I have most of my domains registered at dynadot. Their interface and features are very nice and new domains are ready for use the second that I hit the submit button. The accept paypal payments and have very competitive pricing ($7.99 /year)

Nice list :)
I mostly use goDaddy but I have several domains on other registrars too. The only bad side on goDaddy - which is not so bad - is that the domain push process is a little time consuming.

Thats true. I believe Enom have the best system on this; You just enter the domain and username and you are done :)

I tend to use 123reg.co.uk prices are very good + really simple interface, no hassles in setting up DNS or using alternate DNS.

is this push process somewhere faster? (I see that only entering the whois data is time consuming, yeah and the check out takes always time with godaddy)

dynadot lets you add funds to your account (prepay balance) and you can set default whois and DNS information to use on new domains. After that, registering a new domain only takes as long as you need to type in the domain name and hit the 'buy' button... After that your domain is accessible right away, no need to wait for DNS propagation

As i know the only problem with dynadot is that transfers are handled by humans and not automated. This results in a 1-3 hour wait.
