What is Viral Marketing?

? It is also known as the viral advertising and marketing buzz. This uses catchphrases which refers to different marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to increase in brand awareness.

How does this work?

? All you have to is recommend to friends or others a link on a web page that allows you to enter various email addresses of colleagues, friends and even relatives informing them of a business or product.

Criteria:

1)right message
2)right messenger
3)right environment

That's what I've been thinking also. Does it has something to do with viral marketing?

lolzzz... sorry i didn't cleared it.. as i already said .. IN SHORT!!
What i was about to say is .. viral marketing usually means to bring a rapid growth in market, about the brand power.. in terms of shopping its used to increase the word of mouth impression!!
Also .. lets take an example of youtube,, there are videos which are recently created and uploaded and are visited by tons of people.. Here.. we would say the video has spread like a WILDFIRE.... similarly in technical terms i would say .. that the video is virally propagated (Viral marketing). :)

My apology. I'm not aware of that wildfire is the same as viral propagated in terms of the use of videos. Thanks for clearing it up.

I agree with you. A right, and attractive, message in right environment (Social media) can do wonders for your website.
