What's the best promotion?

What do you think the best promotion is? >:D

I mean the easiest way to promote and which generates traffic. It can be paid as well as free.

That's a very general question, but I will try to answer.

The best promotion is viral marketing. If you have a unique site, people promote it for free ;) (word of mouth)

ok. My next question is how to generate that word of mouth, by emails?

That is spam...

Word of mouth is generated by itself when you have a cool web site.

I realized that with web2announcer. It was the first really usefull site that I made, and I see the traffic increasing without any act on my part.

So the real question is not "how to generate buzz", but "How to generate a usefull site that will feed people's needs"

that's where it's all about, if you build a website ask yourself; is there someone who like visit this site
