Since I know how to cook, I think I will be preparing dinner. I might get much appreciation because I personally do it.

Even if this is a bit late, I will share my "valentine" idea, after all, it is something you can do every day, you don't need to have Valentine's Day to make something special for your other half.
First, I used my "mad photoshop skillz" paired with my "mad DAZ Studio skillz" to make her an original and unique valentine card.
Then I posted it on her facebook page.
She was proud that all her friends were seeing that card.
(knowing some of them myself, I must say that some of them envyed her for that card)
I then sent her a text message telling her that the evening was going to be boring, because I was really tired (it was a lie, but I wanted to make her unprepared for what was coming).
But then we went to the sea, in a place that is special for us (and it is about a couple of hourd from our city), there was nobody there, since it is a town woth mostly holiday houses. We had the entire town for ourselves, and we walked along the seaside under the moon...
then we slow-danced (I had a special cd with her favourite songs prepared in my car stereo)...
I can say she was happy ^^
You can do this every day you want to make special:
Tell your other half that the evening is going to be some "nothing special" evening...
Prepare her favourite songs on a cd
Drive her to a place that has some meaning to you two.
She will be even more surprised and delighted.

I suggest you should go out and try Goji Juice - a wonder herbal product. I got this recommendation from a friend few days ago and tried to test this one and is amazed with the results.

I know it is over but one of the best gift that I ever made my fiancee was a mixed CD. It had lots of our favorite songs on it and all were from our favorite band.

A few years ago my fiancee gave me a stuffed bear. He left it in my car for Valentines day. How sweet it was.

It depends with the personality of your loved one..some are materialistic, others are not ! some love beaches so take her there and have a dinner with candle light.. or you have busy schedule, you can have dinner in the rooftop of the highest building in the city..you can see all the stars,, I think that is romantic specially when you will be talking about your plans for your future.
