I don't think there is a reason for even having pagerank, now that has no meaning in the rankings :)

No one can answer the question except Google and God. Google act is unpredictable now. Exactly for me the update is every month. On the end of the month.

Its a known fact that PR gets updated every day, and that the PR you get in the toolbar is generally 3 months behind roughly. They give us webmasters that export as an older measurement to our sites success when more weight was put on a numerical page rank value.
The PR of a site now, barely means anything. Of course higher PR sites will have more traffic, but thats not always 100% true, and there are even a lot of sites with higher PR, that get beat out normally to lower ranked sites.
My advice is to stay away from Digital Point, if thats where you're going/getting any SEO advice from, and check sites like sitepoint, TAZ, SEOMoz and a few others that are the laughing joke of the internet

Nikolas - why do you say there's no meaning at ALL for PR?
As much as I know PR still take some place in SEO...

It still matters but it is just one tiny factor from the 200+ factors google uses to rank pages. Just take a look at the SERPs and you'll see. In most queries low pagerank sites are much higher than others with high pr

Nikolas is correct that pagerank is only one of MANY factors. Do not focus on this. Focus on getting good SERPs and driving quality traffic. If you have a good inbound link strategy to improve your SERPs, this will probably help your pagerank as well.

PageRank is essentially a score out of ten as to the "value" of your site in comparison to other websites on the Internet. This fact reveals that one of three things has occurred in this latest update:
1. Google has raised the bar on PageRank, making it more difficult to attain a high level, or
2. The way they are displaying their backlinks has changed, or
3. The way they calculate the value of an incoming link has changed.
Any of these are possible and has been noted in the past as something they are willing to do. Additionally, it is possible for all to occur at the same time.

Nor do I think PR is that important. But it is very useful when it comes to placing links on other sites. And if you are selling ad space or a domain, it would be very important.

PR has a lesser impact in SEO. But for a new site that links to another,it is always better to link to high PR site.

Toolbar PR is sometimes known as Foolbar. It isn't reliable, even if it were useful.
