Hi,
just noticed that all links on a myspace profile are replaced with some redirected link, like
http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LmZ1bm5pZXN0dmlkei5jb20vhope that will help to have less spam inside the comments...
on the other site promoting a website via myspace becomes much harder :(
(time for squidoo)

the funny thing is that these links are working only from the myspace domain :)

Yeah myspace finally hired a coder :P
On the other hand squidoo is not a good option for promotion anymore as they got a huge penalty from Google due to spam.....

I see it's more about that they taking action against all these spammer to prevent a Google penalty:

creating myspace profiles for inbound links doesnt work anymore. but myspace blogs can still be used for indexing.

I think google counts even links from redirections
to be convinced check some of the links withing your reports from google.com/webmasters
thus, I believe some link love is still given to each website that is linked.
