It looks nice. At least for a "partner links" directory it should be fine.

Yes, It works fine and I think it's a nice project for beginners, the basics are really easy to use, but what are the best free or better open source projects?

Nice find! I just dowloaded it and trying it out on www.blogio.net The one thing I don't like is the fact that I have to browse thru all the categories to find the submissions "in queue"

Inisde the admin panel all pending suggestions are listed at the "Admin Home" page...

@Mind_nl
What do you think about the possibilities to modify the layout? and the template engine ?

I think a missing feature is that after a link is accepted there is no more emai address for later communications.

and there is no option for reciprocal links, featured links...

I think I have to look further....

Yeah the layout editor is kind of cool, but it's missing a preview at the bottom (like in wordpress)

PHP link directory or PHPLD... the best so far... Until we make one with a killer templating engine which is lacking in PHPLD...

PHPLD is the next I try, but I don't like to buy something without to try first. I gonna play now with this one: eSyndiCat Free

the pro version is only 49 USD and you may remove their link (its arround 80USD for PHPLD)

I keep you informed...

You know my opinion about open source :)

Using an open source product can help with various ways (free updates, open code that you can update yourself), but all of these are true only if it is a serious project

php ld is still open-source... althuogh the payment option just removes the little credit at the bottom...

yes right, and this OK but I decided to buy a license of eSyndiCat Pro because it was cheaper and It's possible to try the software first...

I concur! I may use the script to make other directories... Nick, maybe we should sell the script for a nice fee?!  8)

I was agreeing to Nick's comment on using my own custom site. I don't have any other script. I am tempted to start another directory, but I don't think I have the time for another one.

Ok now I understand, that why I'm using a commercial script (have no time to continue my own script).
