Well im not sure i should post this here but i will and maybe moderators will move it if this is the wrong section. I have a problem and i need help if it is possible. The thing is i am trying to make my first forum.

As you understood it is a phpbb forum, and though Nikolas told me its not the best one, it is my first and  the server supports this, so i want to give a decent try!

The problem is about Greek characters (letters) on the topics. I go and post a new topic and it looks something like #^&r3784 and some s#*t like that... Every letter i write is translated to these weird code...
It happens only with the topic and not the rest of the post. Have anyone seen this before and can help? I ve seen the same post i am making now on many forums but none of these was answered, that is why i am here asking for help!

Anyway as you see it all seem like greek to me :)
(we in greece say chinese instead of greek)

If somebody knows post here or pm me :)
Thanks to all

I've just visited your forum.

The main problem is that you don't have installed the greek language in the forum.

Do this and then I can assist you further.

I think that you also have to go to the administration area and select greek as the default language.

If you still have problem, let me know

Hello,

check if you find some setting about encoding (iso-8859-1, utf-8 ...) and use there iso-8859-7 or utf-8

Maybe you should use a tool for that, but I am sure that if you upgrade to the greek language usign the guidelines from there, you will be ok.

Maybe you should look at this for start(how to install the greek language and make it default).
